Is Ruuk Village your kind of place?

Ruuk Village is a small, community-run hideaway in Kalpitiya. It is off grid, quiet, and close to nature. For many guests, disconnecting, reflecting, and reconnecting happens naturally here.

Take the 60 second fit test below and we will guide you honestly. No pressure, no pushy sales, just clarity.

Find Your Rhythm at Ruuk Village

Ruuk Village works best when expectations and daily rhythm match. There is no fixed way to stay here and no right or wrong choice. It simply depends on how you plan to spend your days.

If kitesurfing is the main reason you are here Why many kiters choose full board

Our kite beach is quiet and untouched. That is part of what makes it special. There are no cafés, no restaurants and no accommodation at the beach itself.

Many guests who kite most days choose full board because it keeps the day simple. Boat crossings, lunch at the beach hut and drinking water are taken care of, so you can stay at the beach between sessions without planning logistics.

For most kiters this means more time on the water, fewer interruptions and a calmer overall experience.

If you are not kiting every day When bed and breakfast can work well

Bed and breakfast can be a good option if your days are more open and you enjoy spending time in Kalpitiya town during the day.

Some guests like to pick up snacks or fruit from local shops, explore the area and then order dinner with us in the evening.

If you decide to kite on selected days or cross the lagoon to the ocean side, the boat service can be arranged whenever needed.

How we help you choose what fits A short note on personal guidance and booking

When we exchange messages and answer questions, we are already helping you shape your stay in a personal way. This is not automated and it is not scripted.

Booking directly with us allows more of your stay to support the local team who cook, guide and take care of you on site. It also gives us more flexibility to adapt details to your needs.

There is never any obligation. We simply appreciate it when guests who value this personal exchange choose to continue directly with us. For stays longer than four nights that are planned in advance, we can often offer a more balanced package price as well.
