"Ruuk Village" - a former coconut plantation

Ruuk Village is close to Kalpitiya town center, making it easy to explore. You can get a cocktail dress made at a local tailor or buy colorful sarongs. Enjoy delicious Sri Lankan rice and curries at our restaurant, all while surrounded by beautiful nature. This is a great way to experience authentic Kalpitiya.

The main challenge of integrating "Ruuk Village" was to place the cabanas among the coconut trees without harming any of the 149 trees.

Eco-friendly comfort is achieved with roofs made of coconut leaves and walls made from local wood.

These cabanas resemble historic beach houses that used wood instead of clay for walls.

Each cabana features a shower built onto a coconut tree for a refreshing outdoor experience.

Since May 2020, all 10 cabanas are solar-powered, providing electricity during the day. The unique beds in the cabanas offer a one-of-a-kind experience in Kalpitiya, allowing guests to relax and forget the day's activities.
